Body - Interior/Exterior: Interior: Visor: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove both A-pillar trim panels. Refer to PANEL, A-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove both upper B-pillar trim panels. Refer to PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, UPPER, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove both of the coat hook screw covers (1) and remove the screws (2) from the coat hooks (3).

  5. Remove the coat hooks (1).
  6. Remove both front grab handles. Refer to HANDLE, GRAB, ROOF, REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the rear view mirror. Refer to MIRROR, REARVIEW, REMOVAL .
  8. Disconnect all sensors located on the windshield located near the rear view mirror.
  9. Remove overhead console. Refer to CONSOLE, OVERHEAD, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  10. Remove the screw located behind the overhead console, that fastens the headliner to the roof.

  11. Remove both inboard sun visor fasteners (3) and supports (2).

  12. Extend both sun visors toward the center of vehicle.
  13. Temporarily support the visor (2) by installing a tie strap (3) through the support rod and headliner (1).

    NOTE:

    Visors (1) should be rotated downward.

  14. Remove visor screw covers (2) and screws.

  15. For vehicles with a sunroof, separate the hook and loop fasteners (2) around the sunroof opening.
    CAUTION:

    Be careful not to crease the headliner.

  16. Lower the front of the headliner.

  17. Carefully remove the white clip (1) holding the visor to the headliner (3). The clip will need to be re-used, replace with a NEW clip if broken.
    NOTE:

    Whether the sun visor was replaced or not, make sure the visor is aligned correctly and tie strapped to the overhead console's mounting bracket before continuing.

  18. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) and remove the visor.
