Body - Interior/Exterior: Interior: Visor: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Remove both A-pillar trim panels. Refer to PANEL, A-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVAL .
- Remove both upper B-pillar trim panels. Refer to PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, UPPER, REMOVAL .
- Remove both of the coat hook screw covers (1) and remove the screws (2) from the coat hooks (3).
- Remove the coat hooks (1).
- Remove both front grab handles. Refer to HANDLE, GRAB, ROOF, REMOVAL .
- Remove the rear view mirror. Refer to MIRROR, REARVIEW, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect all sensors located on the windshield located near the rear view mirror.
- Remove overhead console. Refer to CONSOLE, OVERHEAD, FRONT, REMOVAL .
- Remove the screw located behind the overhead console, that fastens the headliner to the roof.
- Remove both inboard sun visor fasteners (3) and supports (2).
- Extend both sun visors toward the center of vehicle.
- Temporarily support the visor (2) by installing a tie strap (3) through the support rod and headliner (1).NOTE:
Visors (1) should be rotated downward.
- Remove visor screw covers (2) and screws.
- For vehicles with a sunroof, separate the hook and loop fasteners (2) around the sunroof opening.CAUTION:
Be careful not to crease the headliner.
- Lower the front of the headliner.
- Carefully remove the white clip (1) holding the visor to the headliner (3). The clip will need to be re-used, replace with a NEW clip if broken.NOTE:
Whether the sun visor was replaced or not, make sure the visor is aligned correctly and tie strapped to the overhead console's mounting bracket before continuing.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (2) and remove the visor.
