Valve, Coolant Control: Description

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The coolant control valve is mounted behind the engine on the upper right side of the transmission in the engine compartment. The valve has two coolant ports, coolant inlet and coolant outlet. Coolant is routed from the engine to the coolant valve inlet, and then out to the transmission oil heater. The coolant valve contains a valve that can allow or block coolant outlet flow to the transmission oil heater. The coolant valve is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The coolant valve contains no serviceable components and is serviced as a complete assembly.
