Diagnostic Test

CHECK THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)

Using the schematics as a guide, check the PCM connector and all related in-line connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or pushed out terminals. Pay particular attention to the power and ground circuits. Check Service Bulletins for possible causes that may apply.
- Were any of the above described problems found ?
Yes
- Repair the condition found above.
- Perform VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- If no problems are found, replace and program the PCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .
- Perform VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
