This diagnostic is a continuous test that monitors the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) for lack of activity. The test will not run if a limp-in condition exists for the Manifold Absolute Temperature (MAP), Throttle Position, or Engine Coolant Temperature. If the VSS signal is below a calibrated value for a period of time after the vehicle is operated at a sufficient load, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set.
