D-Clutch Measurement

- Using (special tool #8901A, Pressing Tool) (3) and (special tool #10429, Gauge, Force) (1) place the D-clutch in a suitable arbor press.
- Apply 200 N (45 lbs.) of force to the D-clutch backing plate to compress the wave plate.
- With a suitable feeler gauge (2), measure the gap between the C-clutch backing plate and the C-clutch retainer.
- Refer to clutch clearance table for specs. If clearance is not within specification a thinner or thicker selectable snap ring can be Installed to achieve proper clearance.
