Right Exhaust Manifold

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT .
  3. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC .
  4. Remove the right side ignition coils. Refer to COIL, IGNITION .
  5. Remove the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC) .
  6. Remove the generator. Refer to GENERATOR .
  7. Disconnect the ground strap at the right side engine mount.
  8. Remove the fasteners (1) and the right side engine mount heat shield.

  9. Remove the oil level indicator tube retaining nut (1) and reposition the tube.

  10. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield fasteners (1) and remove the heat shield.

  11. Remove the fasteners (1) and remove the right side exhaust manifold.

  12. Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket (1).
