Left Exhaust Manifold

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the front skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT .
  4. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC .
  5. Remove the left side ignition coils. Refer to COIL, IGNITION .
  6. Remove the nuts (1) the secure the A/C suction and liquid lines to the jumper line assembly.

  7. Install plugs in, or tape over all of the opened refrigerant line fittings then position the lines aside.
  8. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield fasteners (1) and remove the heat shield.

  9. Remove the fasteners (1) and remove the left side exhaust manifold.

  10. Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket (1).
