Standard Procedure - Resetting Timing Chain TENSIONER

NOTE:

Verify that the tensioner is assembled correctly.

  1. Install the washer (1), spring (2), and plunger (3) inside the tensioner body (4).

  2. Squeeze the tensioner body (3) and movable guide shoe (2) together and install Tensioner Pin (special tool #8514A, Pins, Tensioner) (1).
