Seal, Crankshaft Oil, Front: Installation

- Install the (special tool #10387, Installer, Vibration Damper) threaded rod (1) onto the crankshaft (2).CAUTION:
The front crankshaft seal must be installed dry. Do not apply lubricant to the sealing lip or the outer edge.
- Using Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Installer (special tool #9072, Installer, Seal) (2) and (special tool #10387, Installer, Vibration Damper) (1), install the crankshaft front seal.
- Position the damper (2) onto the crankshaft.
- Using the (special tool #10387, Installer, Vibration Damper) (1), press the damper onto the crankshaft.
- Install the crankshaft damper bolt.
- Position the (special tool #10386, Holder, Vibration Damper) (2), onto the vibration damper.
- Tighten the bolt to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the cooling fan module. Refer to FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION

- Position the upper radiator hose and secure retainer (2) at the fan shroud.
- Install the upper radiator hose at the thermostat housing and secure hose clamp (1).
- Install the air cleaner resonator support bracket at the water pump.
- Install serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION

- Connect the resonator hose to the throttle body and hand tighten the clamp (4).
- Install the resonator retaining bolt (3) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the clean air hose to the air cleaner housing and hand tighten the clamp (2).
- Connect the electrical connector at the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor (1).
- Refill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the battery negative cable. Tighten the nut to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
