Sensor, Mode: Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

During normal vehicle operation, the DTCM monitors the mode sensor outputs at least every 2 milliseconds when the shift motor is stationary or active. The mode sensor position will be considered invalid by the DTCM if the voltage is greater than 4.75 V or if it is less than 0.25 V.

NOTE:

All the parameter voltages referred to in the following information are calibrated items in the controller software and are subject to change.

The DTCM shall consider Transfer Case position based on the MODE SENSOR VOLTAGES table listed below:

MODE SENSOR VOLTAGES

TRANSFER CASE POSITION Voltage
4WD LOW 0.25 - 0.80
NEUTRAL 1.10 - 1.25
4WD AUTO (ACTIVE) 2.00 - 4.75
