Cooler And Hoses, Charge Air: Removal: Hoses

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

  2. Remove the engine cover (1).

  3. Release the locking retainer (1) and remove the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose from the EGR Air flow control valve.

  4. Remove the bolts (2) securing the resonator (1).
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Remove the front suspension skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL .

  7. Loosen the clamp (1) and remove the right side CAC hose (2).
  8. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

  9. Release the locking retainer (1) and remove the CAC hose (2) from the turbocharger.

  10. Remove the nut (1) and the CAC tube support (2) from upper timing cover.

  11. Loosen the clamp (2) and remove the left side CAC hose (1).
