Cooler And Hoses, Charge Air: Installation: Hoses

  1. Install the left side Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose (1). Tighten the clamp (2) to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).

  2. Install the CAC tube support (2) onto the timing cover stud. Tighten the nut (1) to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).

  3. Install the CAC hose (2) to the turbocharger and lock the retaining clip (1).
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  5. Install the right CAC hose (2) and tighten the clamp (1) to 8 N.m (11 ft. lbs.).
  6. Install the front suspension skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, INSTALLATION .
  7. Remove support and lower vehicle.

  8. Install the bolts (2) securing the resonator (1) and securely tighten.

  9. Install the CAC hose (2) onto the EGR air flow control valve and engage the locking retainer.

  10. Install the engine cover (1).
