Valve, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR) Airflow Control: Installation

  1. Clean all gasket sealing surfaces.
  2. Install a NEW  O-ring seal onto the air inlet housing (2).

  3. Install a NEW  O-ring seal (1) onto the intake manifold.

  4. Install the EGR airflow control valve (2). Tighten the four bolts (1) to (9 N.m 80 in. lbs.).

  5. Connect the inlet temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).

  6. Install the bolt (2) securing the fuel lines (3) and fuel tube (1) to the EGR air flow control valve and tighten to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).

  7. Connect the EGR airflow control valve harness connector.
  8. Connect the air tube (1) to the EGR air flow control valve.

  9. Install the engine cover (1).
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.
