Rotor, Brake: Removal

NOTE:

Front rotor shown, rear rotor similar.

CAUTION:

Never allow the disc brake caliper to hang from the brake hose. Damage to the brake hose will result. Provide a suitable support to hang the caliper securely.

Remove the brake caliper. Refer to CALIPER, DISC BRAKE, REMOVAL .
NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the brake hose from the caliper, for this procedure.

If equipped, remove and discard the o-ring (2) securing the disc brake rotor (1) on the hub.
Remove the disc brake rotor (1) from hub/bearing.
