Seal, Output Shaft, Front: Removal

- Shift transfer case into NEUTRAL.
- Raise vehicle.
- Remove front propeller shaft. Refer to SHAFT, DRIVE, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Using Spanner Wrench (special tool #6958, Wrench, Spanner) (2), remove yoke nut. Discard nut after removal. It is not reusable.
1 - TRANSFER CASE 2 - FRONT YOKE - Remove yoke (2) from output shaft. Use puller (special tool #C-452, Puller, Companion Flange) if flange can not be removed by hand.
1 - FLANGE SEAL - Remove yoke rubber seal (1) from front output shaft.
- Remove front output shaft seal with suitable pry tool, or a slide hammer mounted screw.
