Lever, Transfer Case: Installation

- Position the shift mechanism over the shifter retaining studs on the floor pan.
- Install the nuts to hold the shifter mechanism to the floor pan. Tighten the nuts to 11.9 N.m (105 in.lbs.).
- Verify that the floor shifter is in the 4L position.
- Connect the transfer case shift cable to the shift lever body and pin.
- Install any floor console components previously removed. Refer to CONSOLE, CENTER, INSTALLATION .
- Check for proper transfer case shifter operation.
