Diagnostic Test

- VERIFY ACTIVE ORC DTC
- With the scan tool, read the ORC active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display active B223D-00 OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE DTC PRESENT DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the AIRBAG SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, read the ORC active DTCs.
- VERIFY ACTIVE OCM DTC
- With the scan tool, read the OCM DTCs.
Are there any active DTC present?
Yes
- Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX, OCM and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
WARNING:Turn the ignition off, disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
WARNING:If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is dropped at any time, it must be replaced. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- Replace the ORC in accordance with the Service Information. (Refer to REMOVAL, ORC ).
- Perform the AIRBAG SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, read the OCM DTCs.
