Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, record Forward Facing Camera Module (FFCM) DTCs and record on the repair order.
2. With the scan tool, erase FFCM DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. With the scan tool, read FFCM DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Go To 5
CHECK FOR BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs and record on the repair order.
  Are there any BCM CAN Bus DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the BCM DTC(s). Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK FOR ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read EPS Module DTCs and record on the repair order.
  Are there any EPS Module present?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the EPS Module DTC(s). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX, EPS .
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK OTHER MODULES FOR DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Are there any other Modules reporting implausible communication DTCs against the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS)?
  
  Yes
  - Using the schematics as a guide, check the EPS Module pins, terminals, and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits and repair as necessary. If no problems are found, replace and program the EPS Module in accordance with Service Information. Refer to GEAR, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Using the schematics as a guide, check the FFCM pins, terminals, and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. Is no problems are found, replace and program the Forward Facing Camera Module (FFCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, FORWARD FACING CAMERA (FFCM), REMOVAL .
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
CHECK THE WIRING AND CONNECTORS
1. The conditions necessary to set the DTC are not present at this time.
2. Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this Module. Wiggle the wiring and connectors while checking for shorted and open circuits.
3. Check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
4. Check Service Bulletins for any possible causes that may apply.
  Were any problems found?
  
  Yes
  - Repair as necessary.
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Test complete.
