Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR TRANSMISSION SPEED SENSOR DTCS

With the scan tool, read all DTCs and record on the repair order.
Are any Transmission Speed Sensor DTCs set?

Yes
- Perform the applicable Transmission Speed Sensor DTC procedure(s). Refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
No
- Verify the customer did not shift into REVERSE while vehicle was moving forward at high speed. If shifter was not shifted into REVERSE while vehicle was moving forward at high speed, perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
