NOTE:

To help in the service of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system, it is recommended to communicate with the customer to obtain the environmental conditions they were driving in when the cruise control concern took place. Heavy rain, snow, ice, and fog can cause the ACC system to become inoperative. This is considered as a normal operational reaction of the ACC system and no repair is necessary.

This is an informational Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Module communicates over the CAN Bus with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to increase engine speed when needed. If other ACC Module DTCs are present, perform their respective diagnostic procedures first.
Check for:
- PCM DTCs present.
- PCM improperly configured.
- BCM DTCs present.
- BCM improperly configured.
- Implausible DTCs against the PCM.
- Any Service Bulletins that may apply.
Were any of the above conditions present?

Yes
- Refer to the appropriate diagnostic procedure repair/reprogram as necessary.
- Perform the ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Erase this DTC and perform the ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- If the DTC continues to set, no other modules are reporting any DTCs, and all modules are configured properly, replace and program the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACCM), REMOVAL .
