Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition on and off several times, leaving the ignition on for at least 20 seconds during each ignition cycle.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Monitor the scan tool for at least two minutes.
6. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
  Is the DTC active or pending?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS
1. Refer to the recorded DTCs.
  Are there any Voltage Stability Module 2 DTCs active or pending in the Body Control Module?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the applicable diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
  No
  - Replace the voltage Stability Module 2 in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST, 3.2L .
