Rear Brake Rotor

The Electric Parking Brake (EPB) actuator must be retracted prior to removing the brake caliper assembly. This can be done in two ways:
- A diagnostic scan tool (Service Mode)
- Through Uconnect
CAUTION:
If the Electric Park Brake (EPB) switch is actuated with the caliper removed from the caliper bracket and still connected electrically, the EPB motor will fully extend causing damage to the caliper piston. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable before servicing any EPB component.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL

- Remove and DISCARD
the caliper bracket mounting bolts (2).NOTE:
The brake caliper must be appropriately supported, do not allow the brake caliper to hang from the hose or wires.
- Remove the brake caliper and caliper mounting bracket as an assembly and position it aside.
- Remove the retaining bolt (1) and slide brake rotor (2) off the hub and bearing.
