Arm, Wiper: Removal: Front

- Carefully pry the plastic nut cap (1) off of the pivot end of the wiper arm (4).
- Remove the wiper arm nut (2).
- Lift the front wiper arm to its over-center position to hold the wiper blade off of the glass and relieve the spring tension on the wiper arm to pivot shaft connection.
- Use a slight rocking action, loosen the wiper arm from the pivot shaft (3) and remove.CAUTION:
The use of a battery terminal puller when removing the front wiper arm is NOT recommended except as a last resort, as this may damage the front wiper arm.
- If the rocking action failed to free the wiper arm from the pivot shaft, use a suitable battery terminal puller to loosen the wiper arm.
