2.0L Diesel

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate service article .

  3. Remove the three bolts (1) that secure the EGR tube (2) to the intake manifold.
  4. Disconnect the EGR tube from the intake manifold and remove the EGR tube gasket.

  5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the EGR valve.

  6. Remove the two bolts (2) that secure the EGR tube (1) to the EGR cooler manifold.
  7. Disconnect the EGR tube from the EGR cooler manifold and remove the gasket seals.
