Valve, Purge Control: Removal: 2.4L

  1. Remove the engine cover (1).

  2. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor wire harness connector (3).
  3. Loosen the resonator to throttle body clamp (2).

  4. Remove the resonator bolt (2).
  5. Loosen the resonator inlet clamp (1).
  6. Remove the resonator (3).

  7. Remove the quick connect fuel tank hose (4) from the duty cycle purge valve.
  8. Using care, roll the foam isolator (2) away from the duty cycle purge valve.

  9. Disconnect the duty cycle purge valve (2) wire harness connector (1).

  10. Remove purge hose (3) from duty cycle purge valve (2).
  11. Remove the duty cycle purge valve from the bracket (4).
