Valve, Purge Control: Installation: 2.4L

  1. Install the duty cycle purge valve (2) to bracket (4).
  2. Install purge hose (3) to the duty cycle purge valve (2).
  3. Connect the duty cycle purge valve (2) wire harness connector (1).
  4. Using care, position the foam isolator back into position onto the duty cycle purge valve and the intake manifold.

  5. Install quick connect fuel tank hose (3) to duty cycle purge valve (1).

  6. Position the resonator (3) between the forward edge of the cowl and the cylinder head cover. Align the openings with the throttle body intake and the air cleaner flex hose.
  7. Install the bolt (2). Tighten the bolt to the proper torque.

    Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  8. Tighten the hose clamp (1).

  9. Tighten the throttle body clamp (2) to the proper torque. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  10. Connect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor wire harness connector (3).

  11. Install the engine cover (1).
