Canister, Vapor: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Partially raise the vehicle.
  3. Remove the right rear wheel.
  4. Remove the inner wheel splash shield.
  5. Disconnect electrical connector to the ESIM (Evaporative System Integrity Monitor).
  6. Disconnect the lines from the EVAP canister (2) side.
  7. Remove the mounting fasteners (1).
  8. Remove EVAP canister assembly.
