Sensor, Park Assist: Removal: Rear

NOTE:
The park assist sensors (1) and the O-ring spacers (2) are each available for separate service replacement. The sensor brackets (3) are bonded to and integral to the inside surface of the bumper fascia (4).
NOTE:
In vehicles equipped with the optional Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist (PPPA) option only, the park assist sensors located in the outward facing ends of both the front and rear fascias are unique and must not be interchanged with any other forward or rearward facing park assist sensor.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the negative cable from the battery.
- Reach up behind the rear bumper fascia (4) to access and disconnect the wire harness connector from the park assist sensor (1) connector receptacle.
- Carefully pry the sensor bracket (3) latch features away from the latch tabs of the sensor far enough to disengage the sensor from the bracket.
- Disengage the O-ring spacer (2) from around the circumference of the sensor membrane protrusion.
