Module, Electric Park Brake (EPBM): Installation

  1. Position Electric Park Brake (EPB) module (4) onto mounting studs.
  2. Install the EPB nut (5) to the stud and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Push retainer (3) onto stud.
  4. Connect electrical connector (2) to the EPB module (4) and push the lever (1) down to lock into position.
  5. Install the load floor cargo panel. Refer to LOAD FLOOR, CARGO, INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
  7. Perform PROXI configuration. If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
