2.0L Diesel

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate service information article.
  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  4. Remove the coolant hose (2) from the thermostat housing.
  5. Remove the upper radiator hose (1) from the thermostat housing.
  6. Remove the left charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose. Refer to the appropriate service information article.

  7. Remove the bolts (1) and the thermostat housing.
