2.0L Diesel

NOTE:
Use coolant on the seals of the thermostat housing so the seals wont become damaged and to help aid in installation.
- Install the thermostat onto the EGR coolant flow control valve (3).
- Install the thermostat housing mounting bolts (1). Tighten the bolts to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the lower thermostat support brace bolt (5) and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the left charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose. Refer to the appropriate service information article.
- Install the upper radiator hose (1) onto the thermostat housing.
- Install the coolant hose (2) onto the thermostat housing.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate service information article.
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
- Run engine to operating temperature, check for leaks and proper operation.
