Pump, Water: Installation: Diesel

- Using a NEW gasket (2), install the water pump (3) with onto the cylinder head (1). Tighten the bolts (4) to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the timing belt. Refer to the appropriate service information article. .
- Evacuate air and refill cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
- Check cooling system for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
