Bottle, Pressurized Coolant: Removal: Diesel

WARNING:
Do not remove cylinder block drain plugs, pressure caps, or loosen radiator draincock with system hot and under pressure. Serious burns from coolant can occur.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the coolant hose (2) from the top of coolant bottle (1).
- Remove the bolt and nut (1) securing the coolant bottle (2).
- Remove the lower coolant hose (1) and the pressurized coolant bottle (2) from the vehicle.
