Injector(S), Fuel: Removal: 2.4L

WARNING:

Risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. Wear protective clothing and eye protection. Risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Pour fuel only into appropriately marked and approved containers. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. Release the fuel pressure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE PROCEDURE  .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the fuel rail. Refer to RAIL, FUEL, REMOVAL RAIL, FUEL, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove the fuel injector (3) retaining clip (2).
  5. Remove the fuel injector (3) from fuel rail (1).
