Injector(S), Fuel: Installation: 3.2L

  1. Lightly lubricate the new O-ring seals (1) with clean engine oil and position the seals onto the fuel injector (2).

    NOTE:

    Number 2 fuel injector installation shown, all other fuel injectors similar.

  2. Install the fuel injectors (1) into the fuel rail (2).

  3. Install the fuel rail. Refer to RAIL, FUEL, INSTALLATION  or RAIL, FUEL, INSTALLATION .
  4. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, INSTALLATION .

  5. Position the air inlet assembly (5) onto the air cleaner housing.
  6. Secure the air inlet resonator (6) retaining grommet onto the ball stud.
  7. Install the air intake resonator support bolt (2). Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 in. lbs.).
  8. Tighten the clamp at the air cleaner housing to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).
  9. Tighten the clamp at the throttle body (3) to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).
  10. Connect the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector (1).

  11. Install the engine cover (1).

  12. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  13. Start the engine and check for leaks.
