Jet, Piston Oil Cooler: Installation

- Lubricate a new O-ring seal (1) with engine oil and install on the piston oil cooler jet(s).NOTE:
Piston oil cooler jet for cylinders one/two shown in illustration. Piston oil cooler jets for cylinders three/four and five/six are similar.
- Install the piston oil cooler jet(s) (2) into the engine block and tighten the retaining bolt (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the crankshaft. Refer to CRANKSHAFT, INSTALLATION .
- If removed, install the oil filter and fill the engine crankcase with the proper oil to the correct level. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the negative battery cable and tighten the nut to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check cooling system for correct fluid level. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
