Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- Turn on the HVAC System and operate the blend door through it's entire range.
- With a scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK FOR HVAC MODULE DTCS
- With the scan tool, read HVAC Module DTCs.
Are there any HVAC Module DTCs present?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate HVAC Module DTC diagnostic procedure. Refer to HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING (ATC) DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
- Perform the HVAC VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to HVAC VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- With the scan tool, read HVAC Module DTCs.
- CHECK THE HVAC MODULE POWER AND GROUND CIRCUITS NOTE:
If the HVAC Module loses and regains it's power or ground supply it will run a re-calibration procedure. During this procedure the blend door feedback voltage will be at zero volts for a few seconds. The Powertrain Control Module may erroneously set this DTC during this time.
- Perform the NO RESPONSE FROM HVAC (A/C HEATER CONTROL MODULE) test procedure to check the Battery, Fused Ignition, and Ground supply circuits. Refer to NO RESPONSE FROM HVAC (A/C HEATER CONTROL MODULE)

Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST, 3.2L .
No
- Perform the Blend Door Control Circuit Low diagnostic procedure . Refer to HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING (ATC) DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
- Perform the NO RESPONSE FROM HVAC (A/C HEATER CONTROL MODULE) test procedure to check the Battery, Fused Ignition, and Ground supply circuits. Refer to NO RESPONSE FROM HVAC (A/C HEATER CONTROL MODULE)
