Section 40 (Rear Suspension): Spring(S): Removal

NOTE:
Before proceeding, Refer to WARNING .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the wheel mounting bolts, then the rear tire and wheel assembly.
- Hold the upper stud stationary and remove the stabilizer link nut (1).
- Separate the stabilizer link (2) from the stabilizer bar.
- Support the suspension with a jack stand or equivalent.
- Remove the spring link bolt (4) and separate the spring link (6) from the knuckle.
- Slowly lower the jack stand and remove the coil spring (1).
- If replacing the spring, remove the spring isolators from the top and bottom of the spring.
