Removal - 3.2L

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  4. Remove the nut (2) and separate the suction/liquid line manifold (1) from the Internal Heat Exchanger (IHX).
  5. Remove and discard the washer seals.
  6. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings.

  7. Remove the nut (1) and separate the suction/liquid line manifold (3) from the expansion valve (2).
  8. Remove and discard the washer seals.
  9. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings.
  10. Remove the suction/liquid line assembly from the engine compartment.
