Sensor, Evaporator Temperature: Removal

WARNING:
Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the right side silencer panel. Refer to PANEL, SILENCER, LOWER, REMOVAL

- Using a trim stick or equivalent, remove the right side console closeout cover (4).NOTE:
Left side shown in illustration, right side similar.
- Rotate the evaporator temperature sensor (1) counter-clockwise 90 degrees to disengage from the HVAC housing.
- Remove the evaporator temperature sensor (3) from the HVAC housing (1).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the evaporator temperature sensor.
