Hose, Clean Air: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable (3). If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover from the ball studs.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor (3).
  4. Loosen the clamp (4) and disengage the clean air hose (1) from the throttle body inlet.
  5. Remove the make up air hose (5) from the clean air hose (1).
  6. Loosen the clamp (7) and disengage the clean air hose (1) from the air cleaner body.
  7. Remove the bolt (6) that secures the clean air hose to the cylinder head cover.
  8. Disengage the pushpin (2), tip the top edge of the clean air hose (1) slightly forward and remove it from the vehicle.
