2.2L Diesel EGT Sensor 1/2

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate article. .

  3. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensor 1/2 wire harness connector (1).
  4. Detach the EGT sensor 1/2 wire harness from retainer (2).
  5. Remove the EGT wire from the retainer (3).
  6. Remove the EGT sensor 1/2 (4) from the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC)/Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).
