2.2L Diesel EGT Sensor 1/1

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate article. .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  4. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensor 1/1 wire harness connector (2).

  5. Detach the EGT sensor 1/1 wire (3) from the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) inlet tube (2).

  6. Remove the EGT sensor 1/1 (1) from the exhaust manifold (2).
