Pipe, Exhaust CROSSUNDER: Removal: 3.2L

WARNING:

The normal operating temperature of the exhaust system is very high. Therefore, never attempt to service any part of the exhaust system until it is cooled. Special care should be taken when working near the catalytic converter. The temperature of the converter rises to a high level after a short period of engine operation time.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .

  3. Remove the cross-under pipe (1) rear flange nuts.
  4. Remove the cross-under center support bolt (5).
  5. Remove the front cross-under pipe flange nuts (6).
  6. Remove the cross-under pipe from the vehicle.
