Muffler, Exhaust: Installation: Diesel

NOTE:
Always work from the front to rear of exhaust system when aligning and tightening exhaust system components.
- Install the muffler (4) onto the resonator pipe (1).
- Install the support isolator bolts (3) and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Align the muffler and resonator assembly to maintain position and proper clearance with underbody parts. All support isolators should have equal load on them.
- Tighten the clamp nut (2) to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
- Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
