Section 30 (Battery System (Service Information)): Battery: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable by removing only the captive nut (1) securing the terminal end to the post.
- Disconnect the battery positive side cable.
- Remove the thermal cover by lifting upwards.
- Remove the clamp (4) that secures the battery to the battery tray.
- Remove the battery (2) from the vehicle.
