Shift Actuator Removal

  1. Remove the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL .
  2. Place the PTU on a suitable, clean and stable work surface.

  3. Remove and discard the shift actuator screws (2).
  4. Separate the shift actuator (1) from the PTU.

  5. Remove the gasket (2) from the groove in the shift actuator (1).
