Input Shaft Seal Removal

- Remove the transmission from the vehicle Refer to REMOVAL .
- Drain the fluid from the transmission.
- Remove the torque converter from the transmission.
- Using a suitable punch tool and hammer, punch a hole in the center of the metal armature of the seal.
- Using a suitable slide hammer (2) with a screw adapter threaded into the hole in the seal, remove the seal (1) from the bore in the center of the bellhousing.
