Park Detent And Manual Shaft Installation

- Insert the and park rod (1) into the park rod guide and the detent hub (2) into the transmission.
- Insert the manual shaft (2) into the detent hub (1) and transmission housing and align the holes in the detent hub and the manual shaft.
- Insert the tapered end of the roll-pin (2) into the hole in the detent hub (1).
- Using a suitable hammer (3) and pin-punch (2), drive the roll-pin into of the detent hub (1) until the head is flush.
- Using a suitable screw driver (3), pry the spring (1) over the top of the detent hub (2).
- Place the manual lever in position on the manual shift lever.
- Install the nut to hold the manual shift lever to the manual shaft and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Snap the Manual Park Release (MPR) cable end (2) on the manual lever on the transmission.
- Install the valve body. Refer to VALVE BODY, INSTALLATION .
