Module, Ultrasonic And Anti-Tilt: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the overhead console from the headliner. Refer to CONSOLE, OVERHEAD, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  3. Working from above the overhead console trim cover (1) rotate each of the two Ultrasonic and Antitilt Module (UAM) transducers (3) counterclockwise about 30 degrees to disengage them from the rearward-facing receptacles on each side of the console trim cover inside surface.
  4. Unlatch the UAM (2) from the mounting provisions integral to the inside surface of the console trim cover.
  5. Remove the UAM and both transducers from the overhead console as a unit.
